  DESCRIPTION:

International Programs (IP) offers Intensive English courses (10 week and 4 week); Business English courses (4 week); Professional Certificate Programs in Business, Finance and Marketing, Internship opportunities for those enrolled in the Professional Certificate courses, Design-Your-Own program, university classes and professional development courses; specially designed programs.

 LOCATION:

Santa Barbara is located in sunny Southern California, a coastal valley nestled between the Santa Ynez mountains and the Pacific Ocean. International Programs (UCSB) is located 10 minutes north of beautiful, downtown Santa Barbara and 5 minutes away from the Santa Barbara Airport.

 APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Students must send a completed application, a $75 enrollment processing fee, and a financial statement showing $4240 of support for a 3-month period. To ensure admission, students should apply 4 weeks prior to the beginning of the course. Students, however, may be accepted after this time. Transfer students must submit a transfer report at the time of application.

 EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:

Academic advising is available by appointment. Conditional acceptance is offered to Orange Coast College (Costa Mesa, CA) and Santa Monica College (Santa Monica, CA). A state-of-the art computer lab is available with internet connection. Once enrolled, each student receives an e-mail account.

 STUDENT SERVICES:

The activities program includes trips to different regional destinations (San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Magic Mountain, etc.) parties, bar-b-ques, and other events. There is a long-standing conversation partner program. Assistance with medical issues, insurance claims, transfer letters, and general information on the community and local events.

 TRANSPORTATION:

IP is located approximately 5 minutes from the Santa Barbara Airport and 2 hours from the Los Angeles Airport. There is scheduled bus service (The Santa Barbara Airbus) from the Los Angeles Airport to Santa Barbara (4 drop-off points). Taxis and the public bus is available from both the Airbus drop-off points and the airport in Santa Barbara.
