 HOUSING OPTIONS:

Dormitories and American homestay families can be arranged by WESLI for free before or after students arrive. Private apartments are also available.

 HOUSING COSTS:

Homestays are $450 per month including meals. Dormitories average $550 per month including meals. Apartments vary.

 LOCATION:

WESLI is located in downtown Madison, voted by Money Magazine as the #1 City in the USA in 1996 and 1998. WESLI is located across the street from the capitol building and 8 blocks from the University of Wisconsin at Madison campus.

 APPLICATION INFORMATION:

WESLI has 6 seven-week sessions per year beginning in January, March, May, July, September and November. WESLI also offers a three-week intersession in August.

 EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:

WESLI serves as the ESL program for several universities and colleges that accept successful completion of our program in lieu of TOEFL. WESLI can provide conditional admission to these schools. We employ a full-time university admissions counselor.

 STUDENT SERVICES:

WESLI provides assistance with housing, immigration, and medical needs and other student concerns. Our full-time activities coordinator arranges weekly trips, introduces students to conversation partners, and assists them in joining clubs or serving as volunteers.

 TRANSPORTATION:

The Madison airport is served by non-stop flights from Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and St. Louis. We provide airport pick-up at the Madison airport and any Madison bus station at no charge.

 OTHER PROGRAMS

DESCRIPTION:

Advanced WESLI students can register as special students for credit-bearing classes at the University of Wisconsin-Madison or at Edgewood College.

 PRIVATE CLASSES AVAILABLE:

Private classes are generally not available. However, WESLI provides free tutoring to students who need special help.
