  DESCRIPTION:

Intensive English program prepares students for academic success at a college or university in the USA. TOEFL requirement waived for students who complete the advanced level. 15-week terms begin in September and January and a 10-week term begins in June. Conditional admission and university placement assistance are available.

 HOUSING COSTS:

$550 per month for dormitories (includes meals); $500 per month for homestay (includes meals); off-campus apartments from $250 per month.

 LOCATION:

Huntington, West Virginia - a safe and comfortable small city in the USA. The campus is within walking distance to hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, movie theaters, supermarkets and banks.

 APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Students must submit a completed application form along with the $45 application fee.

 EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:

Academic advising available daily; conditional acceptance to Marshall University without the TOEFL exam. Students can also satisfy the English proficiency requirement for admission to Marshall University with a passing score on the TOEFL; undergraduate 500 and graduate applicants 525. English Conversation Partners Program, One-on-One English Tutoring and Homestay/Host Family Program are available.

 STUDENT SERVICES:

Free airport pick-up; orientation and help with housing, banking, etc. Access to all university facilities, including computer labs, health center, fitness center, swimming pool, etc. Various social and recreational activities offered by the International Student Association and the Center for International Programs.

 TRANSPORTATION:

Free airport pick-up available at the Huntington Tri-State Airport.
