DESCRIPTION:
English for Academic Purposes, Business, Communication & Culture, and Special Purposes; established in 1965; experienced, professionally-trained teachers with master's and Ph.D. degrees; year-round classes; session length ranges from 3 weeks to 15 weeks; 3 programs (Academic, Business, Communication & Culture) in 7 levels; 20 classroom hours per week plus computer and language laboratories; elective classes including TOEFL and TOEIC preparation, Pronunciation, and Conversation Skills; housing assistance; TIEP is a program of TIEC: An Association of 32 Texas Public Universities for International Education

APPLICATION INFORMATION:
Applications are accepted throughout the year. To receive an I-20 for our English program, call or write to us for an application, then complete the application and return it to us with a letter of financial guarantee from a financial institution and $50 application fee.
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:
Student advisors provide counseling and help with university applications; access to university libraries and recreational sports facilities; faculty-supervised independent study in the English Skills Center; Conversation Club; institutional TOEFL and TOEIC exams are given 5 times per year.
STUDENT SERVICES:
We provide a full range of services, including
assistance
with immigration/visa procedures, housing and
medical problems;
orientation for new students; field trips ; social
activities,
International Week; airport pick up.
TRANSPORTATION:
Public transportation is readily available. The
airport is
only 10 minutes from the campus area.
