DESCRIPTION:
The Intensive English (ESL) Program, with 20 hours of instruction per week, offers courses in Business/Academic English, TOEFL preparation, with intensive Listening, Reading, and Writing modules. Levels: beginning to university entrance.

On-campus, approximately $650 per month, including 19 meals / week.
LOCATION:
On a hill overlooking Las Colinas, Irving, Dallas and beyond, the University of Dallas enjoys a safe, scenic and central position in the Dallas/Forth Worth Metroplex. It is part of the University of Dallas and of the largest graduate business school in the southwestern US.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
For the Intensive English Program, send application, statement of financial support and $35 fee. For IEP plus conditional undergraduate admission, also include university application, financial statement and original transcripts (English translation).
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:
The required TOEFL scores may be either waived or postponed for undergraduate or graduate students who successfully complete the Intensive English Program. Conditional admission is also available for incoming undergraduates. A Transition Program also allows students to attend university classes for credit while completing the English language requirement.
STUDENT SERVICES:
IEP students receive a university I.D. card, which gives them access to the university campus including free internet access, a personal e-mail address, all campus facilities such as libraries, computer and language labs, cafeteria, study areas, as well as recreational facilities. Academic and personal advising is available to all Intensive English students.
TRANSPORTATION:
University facilities are within walking distance of nearby apartments. City bus lines stop on main campus morning to night, weekdays, for access to additional apartment complexes. The campus is located 15 minutes from D/FW airport and can be reached by airport shuttle.
OTHER PROGRAMS
DESCRIPTION:
Accent Reduction - taught by a speech pathologist, focuses on production of the sounds of English in contrast to the sounds of the student's native language
Research Writing and Public Speaking - designed for graduate students who are new to academic standards and expectations in the US
Executive Blitz -a three week intensive business and English language course; taught by Business School professors and ESL professionals
Constantine Transition - an undergraduate bridge program with university level instruction in American Government, Philosophy, Western Literary Tradition, and American History
