LOCATION:
The Intensive English Program is part of the
University
of Texas at Arlington, a modern, high tech
university with an
enrollment of 20,000 students. The campus is
situated in the
middle of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, giving
students access
to major sports events, entertainment, and
restaurants within a
20-30 minute drive.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
Contact the English language Institute
at the address above. Students requiring Intensive
English only
apply at least l month prior to a program. UTA
conditional
admission students apply at least 2 months prior
to a program.
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:
Students may audit academic
classes, have access to all university libraries,
and use our
computer lab and language lab. Exit from level 6
allows language
proficiency tests to be waived for admission to
UTA undergraduate
programs. There is an undergraduate bridge program
for high level students.
STUDENT SERVICES:
Academic and personal advising is available to
all Intensive English students. Students
participate in various
field trips and parties and have use of UTA
recreational
facilities.
TRANSPORTATION:
Most facilities and housing are within walking
distance of the campus. A shuttle bus travels to
and from the
other areas of campus. Campus housing is located
20 minutes from
D/FW airport and is easily reached by airport
shuttle.
