The regular intensive English course is a multi-skilled course offered at 12 levels. Students study 20-25 hours per week in 4-week terms.

 LOCATION:

IEI is located in Florence, South Carolina. Florence is a small, safe city in the American South. It is near the popular recreation area of Myrtle Beach. Many types of recreational and cultural activities are offered year round throughout the region.

 APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Applications are accepted year-round. Applications must be accompanied by a $95 Application Fee as well as a financial statement from a bank showing support from a family member or relative.

 EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:

Francis Marion University offers many educational, cultural, and recreational activities. IEI students are welcome to take part in any of these activities.

 STUDENT SERVICES:

IEI provides a full range of student services including housing, airport pickup, counseling, and academic advising. Students take both cultural and recreational field trips. All campus facilities are open to IEI students.

 TRANSPORTATION:

Florence does not have a bus service. Most students live on campus or within walking distance of campus. A number of students have their own cars.
