LOCATION:
Eugene is a city of 110,00 people, located in the
beautiful Willamette Valley. The climate is mild.
The mountains and skiing are a short drive east;
ocean beaches are a short drive west. Outdoor
activities are popular. Eugene is clean, quiet,
friendly, and open.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
Applicants should send: 1) completed application
form, 2) $65 non-refundable application fee, 3)
bank statement showing amount available for period
of study, or evidence of scholarship, and 4)
original or certified copies of transcripts or
diploma from most recent degree.
Transfer students (from US universities) need a
letter from their previous university.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:
AEI academic advisor for personal and academic
counseling; U of Oregon admissions counselors;
advanced students may take a limited number of
regular university courses under the supervision
of the academic advisor; 2 hrs/wk tutoring with
trained tutors included in tuition.
Conditional admission through U of O Admissions. Direct entry to the U of O upon completion of AEI Level 6 + letter of recommendation.
STUDENT SERVICES:
AEI students have the same privileges and access
to all campus services as U of Oregon students.
AEI has orientation activities, including campus
and city tours and a variety of cultural and
recreational activities, e.g. trips to the coast,
Portland, around Oregon, skiing, horseback riding,
etc.
TRANSPORTATION:
City bus transportation is free to all university
students with tuition stickers on their IDs.
Bicycles are popular and easily available, new and
used. Eugene has many bike lanes and special bike
routes. There is a city airport served by 1 major
and 2 regional airlines. Amtrak also serves
Eugene.
