Intensive and part-time program for academic, personal, or professional purposes; 5-level multi-skills program; students progress at their own pace; courses focus on American culture and many other topics while strengthening language skills.

There are two residence halls each for men and women.

 HOUSING COSTS:

Shared dormitory rooms are $1350 per semester.

 LOCATION:

Bronxville is a safe, residential village of 6,000 in suburban Westchester County, just a short walk and 27-minute train ride from the attractions and excitement of New York City.

 APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Applications are accepted year round. Semesters start in late August and mid-January; partial semester is sometimes possible. Summer session starts in mid-June (25 hours/wk; 1999 tuition $1795). Write, fax, phone, or e-mail for more information.

 EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:

Academic advising and university placement counseling are available. Advanced ICESL students may take or audit 1-2 college courses. TOEFL is not required when ICESL students apply for Concordia admission. All college facilities (language lab, computer center, music practice rooms, etc.) are open to ICESL students.

 STUDENT SERVICES:

The ICESL offers orientation, counseling, field trips, and social events. ICESL students may use all Concordia recreational facilities and support services (athletic, fitness, health, career development, and student social center) and are encouraged to participate in college social, cultural, and athletic events.

 TRANSPORTATION:

Pick-up from all NYC airports can be arranged. Walk to many stores, services, and commuter train station (30-minute ride to mid- Manhattan). Good local bus service and taxis are also available.
