English for speaking and listening, Business English, accent correction with language Lab implementation, and TOEFL training. Sixty percent of faculty members hold Ph.D.'s from UC Berkeley. The remainder hold masters degrees.

Berkeley English Academy is located one block from the University of California at Berkeley's main campus.

 APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Students should contact the director, Bill Hartney, for an application. Fill it out and mail or fax it with the $50 registration fee to the above address. Transfer students should follow the same process. We will contact the transfer student's former school.

 EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:

Academic advising is available throughout the school day.

 STUDENT SERVICES:

There are scheduled and unscheduled field trips to interesting places around the Bay Area. We also give a certificate of attendance to every student.

 TRANSPORTATION:

We are right across the street from the Berkeley BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station, from which one can go to almost any point in the Bay Area. San Francisco is only fifteen minutes away. Also, almost every bus in Oakland and Berkeley comes directly to our front door. There are no problems getting to school every day.
