LOCATION:
ALA is located in downtown Boston, one block from the Boston Common and near the Public Garden. Home to more than 60,000 students, Boston attracts young adults
for museum exploring, downtown shopping, or study in Boston's many libraries.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
Terms begin every 8 weeks (mid-term entry is available for non-beginner students).
Applications are accepted year-round. Students must send a completed application, $110
application fee, $100 space reservation deposit, and a letter of financial support to the
Executive Offices.

Orientation bus tours, housing placement service, assistance with university placement,
cultural orientation, and weekly student activities and field trips.
TRANSPORTATION:
The local bus and subway systems are safe, clean and efficient. Travel time by bus from
school to host family averages 20 minutes. Personal ALA pickup is available at the airport,
as are taxi service and an airport shuttle bus.
