DESCRIPTION:
The Intensive English Program consists of 25 hours
of instruction per week focusing on grammar,
reading, writing, and listening/speaking. In
addition, students may choose from a variety of
courses such as TOEFL Preparation, Grammar Clinic,
Pronunciation Clinic, Computer Lab, Reading Lab,
Conversation Through Language Partners, and
others.

LOCATION:
Spring International is located on the campus of
the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, a
safe, delightful town in the northwest corner of
Arkansas. The campus is surrounded by the great
natural beauty of the Ozark Mountains, which offer
wonderful places for outdoor sporting and hiking.
Fayetteville is an excellent place to study. There is a
Computer Based Testing center on the campus.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
Spring International offers 5 terms a year, each 9
weeks long,
in addition to two 4-week sessions in the spring
and fall. Students
will need to submit the Spring International
application along with the $75
application fee, and a statement of financial
guarantee.
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES/OPPORTUNITIES:
The University of Arkansas offers conditional
admission to academically admissible students.
Students who are conditionally admitted to the University of Arkansas as undergraduates or tentatively admitted as graduate students who successfully complete an upper level at Spring International are not required to take the TOEFL for admission to the university.
Concurrent enrollment and auditing of University
of Arkansas courses is also
available to special non-degree seeking students.
Students planning to attend US colleges and
universities
may receive placement assistance. Spring
International Language Center also
provides academic advising, regular testing
(Michigan, institutional TOEFL),
university placement services counseling, and
interactive computer lab.
STUDENT SERVICES:
Spring International Language Center provides full
orientation and strong individual
student support. Counselors are available for
university placement and for
academic or personal counseling. Student ID cards
permit full use of campus facilities:
library, media resources, computer & listening
labs, and athletic and
recreational facilities. Support services also
include airport pick-up at no
charge, free assistance with housing, homestays with
American families,
and social and cultural activities on campus and
in the community. Students receive free e-mail accounts and have free Internet access.
TRANSPORTATION:
The University of Arkansas provides a free bus
service with 7 different routes which operates
Monday through Friday. A free trolley service
covers the downtown area on a restricted schedule,
and taxis are available on a limited basis.

DESCRIPTION:
Spring International will design a program for
your group of 10 or more. We can tailor special
dates and curriculum needs to any group's request.
Special programs for business, agriculture,
teacher training, sports camps, and a variety of
other fields are available.
